Wow, 2019 has been a MASSIVE year for the label.
We know people have enjoyed our past releases for games including Hotline Miami, RUINER, and Dead Cells, but it was a quirk of how things fell into place behind the scenes that our releases this year were focused on ‘AAA’ titles.
It has been hugely exciting to partner with legendary games companies to make beautiful — and beautiful sounding — things. We’re indebted to our mastering engineers: Joe Caithness up in Nottingham; and the Abbey Road Studios team in London. Also, all credit to our sleeve artists Boris Moncel, ultimatemaverickx, and Luke Preece and the design talent at Capcom, Eidos-Montréal, Eko Software, FromSoftware, Gearbox Software, and MachineGames.
There’s more still to come in 2019, and 2020 will continue to see us release more brilliant video game music on a variety of formats. Please keep an eye out for some seriously impactful announcements via Facebook.com/LacedMusicLtd, our Twitter feed (@Laced_Records), and our Instagram feed (@Lacedrecords).
If you’re new to Laced Records, do check out our 2018, 2017 and 2016 release round-ups for a taste of what we’ve previously released.

Resident Evil 2 (1998)
DELUXE DOUBLE VINYL
Standard Edition (black) available now
Limited Edition (red) sold out
1998’s Resident Evil 2, initially released on the PlayStation, was a formative game for many, initially funnelling players along the infested streets and alleyways of Raccoon City to the R.P.D. It also introduced a dose of cheesy Hollywood action to the survival horror formula.
The vinyl includes 31 tracks from the original soundtrack, pressed onto black and (Limited Edition) red and black smokey marble discs. Artwork was also handled by Boris Moncel.

Wolfenstein: The New Order | The Old Blood
DELUXE DOUBLE VINYL
Sold out (but look out for news of extra stock)
MachineGames revitalised the long-running series with its 2014 first-person shooter (and 2015 DLC side-story), surprising everyone with deep, often tender storytelling — and gleefully brutal ultra-violent Nazi expunging, of course.

Mick Gordon — the godlike genius behind the DOOM (2016) soundtrack — took the lead for Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Old Blood, working alongside collaborators Fredrik Thordendal, Richard Coleman Devine, and Casey Edwards. The 22-track black vinyl set features a selection of tracks from both soundtracks, where industrial metal and blues meet electronica with an underpinning of prog rock.

DELUXE TRIPLE VINYL
Sold out (but look out for news of extra stock)
Mick Gordon returned to deliver more pulse-pounding cues to underscore B.J. Blazkowicz’s quest to liberate the U.S.A. Joining him was previous collaborator Fredrik Thordendal and sonic wizard Martin Stig Andersen, the composer and sound designer behind Limbo and Inside. ‘Dark and gritty’ doesn’t even begin to cover the soundscapes conjured up Gordon and co, but there are moments of hope, perseverance, and levity to be found amongst the 31 tracks pressed onto three 180g red vinyl.

We’ve teamed up with Square-Enix and Eidos-Montréal to bring multi-instrumentalist Brian D’Oliveira’s raw and naturalistic score for Shadow of the Tomb Raider to wax.
Over 28 tracks, D’Oliveira (Tearaway, Papo & Yo, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard) weaves an exotic, emotional, and darkly spiritual musical tapestry using only natural acoustic instruments and live performances. The score won Best Original Soundtrack and Best Interactive Score at the 2019 Game Audio Network Guild Awards.
